First blind school hostel was established at Dhamdod in Nandurbar on 21^st July 2006, due to work hard for such blind students, for higher education and sports. For all this timetable and daily routine was prepared. All the festivals, National Religious festival and events and days were celebrated to get involved with society, a rally was taken on 15^th August Independence Day and 26^th Jan. Republic day from Dhamdod. This very first year handicap development commissioner, Pune gave permission on non-grant basis for 40 students on 20^th Oct 2006 number A-042.

4 students participated in 20th. Educational blind Development week, organized at Parabhani by National blind Sangh on 8th. January to 11th Jan 2007. They showed their skills in singing story telling and Brail reading. Two students took participation at Nashik for slate handicap sports on 17th and 18th February 2007. Among all these Miss Sunita Magan Valvi came first in state in 25 meter running for 8 to 12 age group. She awarded with gold Medal by Supriya Sule, MP & commissioner of handicap development. . It was a great achievement for school. Brail lipi and special teaching are being used from first year. Parents are also involved by taking parent meetings. Thus the hostel for blind students at Dhamdod has been progressing day by day.
